17th Masonic District

Welcome to the Thundering 17th Masonic District!I am honored and excited to be able to represent the Most Worshipful Grand Master this year in District 17.

Let me start by thanking all the Brothers in the District who have offered their support to me in the coming year. Working with the talents of the great Masons in the 17th District, I am confident we will have a memorable and successful year ahead.Our current Grand Master is passionate about improving all Lodges of the state and I hope you will all support efforts to do so in each of your Lodges this year.

This year’s theme of “Leadership, Accountability, and Commitment” will set the guidelines through which we can hope to succeed in making the Lodges of District 17 even more successful than they are currently. I will be visiting each Lodge a minimum of four times this year. Two of these meetings will be working visits to go over a checklist with the Lodge Officers to get an idea of where the Lodge has been successful and can focus its efforts to improve. I will also be visiting each Lodge for two of its Stated Meetings for Official Visits during which I will be delivering the Grand Master’s message and presenting a program including the reports of our District Committee Chairmen. A schedule of these visits will be posted here when it is available.In order to succeed in improving our Lodges, we will all need to do our part in fulfilling our Masonic obligations and recommitting to improving ourselves in everything that is good, amiable, and useful.

With the high standards this District has consistently upheld, I have no doubt that we can continue to excel in this Masonic year. I challenge each of you to reflect on the areas you can best serve your Lodge in making a difference and better serving its members on their continuing Masonic journeys.I look forward to working with each and every one of you in the coming months!
